REMOURBAN – REgeneration MOdel for accelerating the smart URBAN transformation

Client: European Commission (Horizon 2020, 646511)

Problem: Development of a blueprint for Smart Cities through the integration of sustainable mobility, sustainable built environment and integrated information infrastructure.

Solution: InfoHub’s contribution to this strategic European Lighthouse project with 22 partners concerned the development of the data acquisition and communication infrastructure for monitoring energy use and urban transportation in Nottingham. The City Information Platform combined and managed multiple data sources and provided inter-operability and data protocols between city domains and the project partners.

Result: Data collected and processed by InfoHub allowed derivation of policy decisions concerning energy management (fuels, infrastructure, inter-modal mobility), logistics of supply (last mile delivery) and creating opportunities for citizens participation in urban transformation.
